To operate and drive a golf cart within Westhaven, they must be street legal, insured and fulfill all the legal requirements just like your every day car or truck. Street legal golf carts are referred to by the DMV as low speed vehicles, LSV’s.

Golf Cart Manufactures: There are several established Golf Cart brands on the market, as well as an increasing number of Chinese imported Golf Cart brands, which misleadingly are marketed as American Made, due to some basic final assembly taking place in the USA after being imported as kits from China.

Chinese brands are Advanced EV, ICON, Evolution, Star and more recently Bintelli. They offer lots of bells and whistles, but are they reliable over time and are spare parts readily available?

USA Brands such as Club Car, EZGO, Yamaha and GEM have been the backbone of the US Golf cart market for years. They are plentiful, reliable and customizable, with an unlimited supply of original and aftermarket replacement parts.

At Madgikfleet we have experimented with several golf cart brands, from the traditional American companies, to some of the Chinese offerings. We have gained great insight a lot of experience and have established that each brand has its own uniqueness and quirks.
